My heart goes out to the people of Italy and the mountain villages around Amatrice, shattered by a devastating earthquake, mothers of fathers, father's of children, all buried in the earth's collapsed rubble. Practically the only building of significance left standing - a lonely clock tower. Like sand slipping through the hour glass, it's warning us that time is running out. Society has built its foundations on sand and the tide is fast coming in. That this could happen in peaceful mountain villages strikes at the heart of developed European 'civilisation'. It could happen to all of us, today, tomorrow, or the day after. We were never meant to plaster ourselves across the earth and try to control it.

The way to honour the people that suffered is to accept this, to work with the sense of insecurity that now touches us all, and instead, empower ourselves with a sense of liberation - freedom from the physical chains that bind.

Fierce Wisdom

It's heart rending when such disaster strikes. Whether it be the increasing earthquake and volcanic action, the resource challenged world economy or increasing catastrophic climate change, people's lives are being shattered and torn apart the world over. If you truly want to evolve, it's important not to hide from these events, but to embrace them full on. These are your brothers and sisters. To be "The One", you must be as-one with them. What happens to them today, could surely happen to you tomorrow. This is the nature of the world now as it's shift into 5D accelerates.

Sit with that. Embrace it. This is fierce wisdom. One that will truly liberate you more than any peaceful meditation ever could. The world is drawing to a devastating physical climax. But then you were never physical. It's only the illusion that will be shattered. With this approach, your passing on will be the greatest day of your life. When we let go of fear, the soul is liberated from the density with breath-taking expansion.

You can live that way now. You can apply the knowing of your certain death, as the motivation to live with the greatest freedom. In society it is the programmed fear of death that causes people to live a lifeless life - bound to the yolk of debt, wages, careers and mortgages. But when you confront your certain passing on, these fears fall away as the burnt out illusions they always were.

The Universe is not meant to be tethered

All realities come and go. Nothing is fixed. The universe is constantly moving like the ever changing shore line. Did we really expect that we could build fixed foundations that would never change or move? Did we really expect that we could control Mother Earth? Did we really expect that we could plunder her without effect?

Everything in the universe is interconnected. When you build a fixed eddy current in the flow, you are bending space-time, so you pull in energy, which tugs on the rest of the universe. The more you anchor, the more energy you pull in until the anchor is mercilessly stripped from its moorings. The universe was never meant to be so tethered!

And when you create such an eddy current and live confined within it, you make yourself small. You're telling the universe how little you are. It's a gross lie, which the universe will not tolerate - your very soul will not allow it. It wants to break free from dogma and limitation, from fixed foundation. It wants to break you out of the box with the roar of a lion...

"I am God! I am unbounded! I am free!"

It's time to live that freedom now. It's time to live that awesome power. But it is not power over anything. It is not power over the earth or her resources. It is not power over the weather. Such force is only ever short lived. How can you control the whole Universe? What a ridiculous notion. The power I am speaking of is power WITH. Power WITH the flow. It's where I dissolve the small I with it's limited in-the-box foundations. It's where I let go of trying to control the moment. It's where I soften so much, that I actually become the flow.

It's time to break through

I wrote about this in my new book "Breakthrough". It's about challenging the limited identification with the small I and instead breaking through into the unlimited Cosmic Self. Here's a snippet...

Consider it this way. A sailor is lost at sea in a small sailing boat. He’s run out of food and water, there is no land in sight and apparently not even the slightest breeze to propel him. He is alone facing his certain death. With the realisation of his imminent demise, he gives up efforting and struggling inside. He notices the sun beating down on his face and then the faintest of breezes gently kissing his cheek. The breeze was always there, but he was too engaged with internal thoughts, needs and fears to notice. He had become too desensitised to feel it. Something within him - his very soul - urges him to align the boat with this faintest of breezes. His mind rejects the notion - "it’s not strong enough to carry me anywhere." The soul however is very persistent, especially now that it can be heard above the din of the quietening internal chatter.

Eventually, even though the sailor is dying, he surrenders to the pull of the soul and aligns the boat as best he can with the direction of the breeze. Sometimes he misses the breeze by a fraction and the boat stops once more. But he keeps working to pick it up again. He becomes completely engaged in the process of steering the boat on the right course, so much so, that he forgets his problems.

Correspondingly his sensitivity increases, and he finds that he can align the boat with increasing accuracy. With each new increase in sensitivity, he notices that the breeze grows in strength. It is almost as if the breeze is responding to his awareness of it. The breeze gets stronger and stronger until it becomes a wind, blowing the little vessel along at a tremendous pace. The wind becomes so strong, that he can hardly feel where it ends and he begins, so drowned out are the ideas and troubles he was previously dealing with. Then something truly miraculous happens. He notices he is no longer the sailor inside the wind, but he is the wind with the sailor inside. And then, not even that: finally, he realises he is the sky, with the wind blowing through.

A prayer for your greater Cosmic Self

My heart goes out to the people of Italy and all people who I know are currently suffering, like the ever growing tidal wave of refugees. In a way we are all refugees from our truly divine home, which we're now beginning to return to. Of course this physical reality is desperately challenging when you can't yet see beyond the confines and what it does to us. So I reach out with compassion.

And I offer this prayer...

I will honour you and your suffering by confronting the very nature of the physical. I will endeavour - in every moment - to challenge it, to break through and break out into my greater Cosmic Self. And when I meet you, I will apply myself whole-heartedly to reflect to you the greatness that you are.

In that way, any such tragedy can be turned into a stupendous victory - a victory over the confines of the small self.

Build on the rock of your spirituality

Dramatic change is coming. The sands of time are running through. Use every single moment wisely. Meditation is great. But a direct confrontation of every single moment is greater.

Find your contraction, your pain, your tightness and work into it. Accept what's truly happening in the wider world that you are an intricate part of. Unwind the limitations of small self. Connect with the soul and reach out onto the outstretched wings of the divine. Break through and let the winds carry you in this and every moment.

Let your foundations be built on the rock of your spirituality. And you will never be found wanting.
